International Symposium on Marine and Aquatic Food Safety Risk Assessment Successfully Held in Qingdao

2015 July 14th, CFSA, Qingdao CDC and Zhoushan CDCcooperatively held International Symposium on Marine and Aquatic Food Safety Risk Assessment in Qingdao. Xixiang Yang, the president of Qingdao HFPC (Health and Family Planning Commission) and Jinfeng Liu, the Director General of CFSA, attended this symposium and gave keynote speeches. The vice president of Qingdao HFPC Renming Wei presided at the opening ceremony of the symposium.

Experts from China, U.S and France took good chance of this symposium in exchanging information on various topics regarding marine and aquatic food safety, such as food safety risk management, emergency assessment, food-borne microbial pollution risk analysis, food safety risk classification and so on. This symposium helped pave way for developing marine and aquatic food safety in China and improved professional communication and cooperation in this field which consequently will enhance executive proficiency in related areas.

There were about 100 experts and scholars from CFSA, CFSA Technical Cooperation Center, French Agency for Food, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, College of Public Health at University of Oklahoma, World Bank China Office attended this symposium.
